Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Domaination ("we", "us") handles your personal information. By using the service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account details - your email address, and name if provided, via our authentication provider Clerk.
- Monitored domains - the domains you choose to watch, and their status.
- Payment information - handled entirely by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and whether a charge succeeded, but never your card number.
- Usage data - outbound registrar link clicks, which we count to understand which registrars convert.
- Messages - anything you send us through the contact form.
2. How we use it
We use your information to provide the service: to monitor your domains, email you availability and status alerts, process payments, and respond to your messages. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to operate the service: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Neon (database), Inngest (background jobs), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location you may have additional rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Act or the GDPR.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and trusted infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
